Wine Regions
The Australian wine industry is organised geographically into wine zones, wine regions and sub-regions. The Geographic Indications (GI) are integral to the marketing of wines and to protect the use of regional names. For a wine to carry a regional name, it must consist of at least 85% of fruit from that region. The following sites provide an informative look at Australian wine regions:
